New pics!

It's been just over 2 months since we accepted our referral and "met" our little girl so you can imagine how much we've been praying for an update and new pictures.  Well, the wait is finally over!  Jenny received some new pictures in her email this afternoon while volunteering at the animal shelter and raced home so that we could open them together. She is getting so big but we're thankful that she looks healthy and well-fed. We can't wait to pinch those cheeks!!  Doing her hair, well, that's another story...

We've also learned that she is in an orphanage, an orphanage that unfortunately has the same color scheme (i.e. the yellow, brown & orange floral print she's laying on) as my grandparents' old home. :-)

Hopefully the next pictures we get will be of her in some of the clothes we recently sent to her in her care package!

We're just about finished with all of the hoops, er, paperwork processing.  We've also been informed that the process has been changed a bit and that DR Congo is going more paperless than we would've expected.  Now if only we could get the US government to follow suit...

We're still unsure of how long it will take for our case to be processed, and the process evidently slows down in the summer months, so mid-fall is still our target. We're trusting God for His perfect timing. More updates to come as we have info to share!
